My Review of The Lalo Play Kit

Updated: Jan 13, 2021

Now that Olivia is a little over two years old (brb crying!), I've been on the hunt for the perfect play table and chairs set for her. She’s become quite the little artist these days, so I wanted to be sure and have a space for her where she could easily set up and play comfortably. And since we’ve all been spending a lot more time at home.. David and I really wanted to make sure we were setting up a place for her to play, snack and get all that creativity out. I mean, I have my own space for working on The Pampas Mama, it’s only right Liv has her own space too!

If you've been following me on Instagram, then you've seen the journey of Olivia's room makeover. Good things take time and slowly but surely, we are getting there.. walls are painted, light pendant is installed, new curtains are in and I found THE perfect play table set to fit the neutral aesthetic you know I love. Honestly though, is this not the cutest little table set you've ever seen?!

It was important for me to find something that was functional, easy to clean, she could grow into and most importantly, not an eyesore. We already have and love the Lalo Daily Stroller and Chair, so when I found out they we're coming out with The Play Kit, (which includes a table + two play chairs) it was an easy choice. I had such a difficult time picking out furniture for my baby registry when I was pregnant because of how terrible everything looked - that when I discovered Lalo, I was immediately sold! At this point, they can do no wrong.. I mean, just look all their products!

Here’s what I love about The Lalo Play Kit:

  1. The Play Kit is the perfect shade of neutral, fits my clean aesthetic and doesn’t take up too much space. I love that they give you the option to pick out colors of the play chair. I went with one coconut (white) and one grapefruit play chair for that subtle touch of pink. I also love that you can tuck the play chairs in so it doesn’t take up a ton of space like other table sets I’ve seen. Fun fact: Liv’s Lalo high chair can convert to a play chair so we can easily add it to her table set since the table can fit up to four chairs comfortably.

  2. The Play Table and Play Chairs are crafted from sustainable beech wood and it just screams “high-quality.” We plan to use it for Liv’s virtual activity classes and when she eventually starts school! Size-wize, Liv sits comfortably in the play chairs now, but the table and chairs are at a perfect height so that she can keep using it well into early elementary ages. I've even tested out the chairs myself, and I fit.. comfortably! Don’t worry, I looked it up and the play chairs can safely support up to 200 pounds.

  3. The assembly was a breeze! Seriously, go check out my instagram - I saved me putting the entire set together to my 'lalo' highlight. All it took was screwing in the legs and viola! It was incredibly easy to make everything feel safe and sturdy, and that’s saying a lot considering I was simultaneously on conference calls and watching Liv while I was doing it.

  4. Liv’s playtime messes are no big deal to clean up—seriously! Any time you give a toddler crayons, markers and glitter, you already know every parent internally screams and dreads the mess. But with The Play Table, it has smooth surfaces that I usually just wipe down with a damp cloth. I love that it has no cracks or grooves for sparkles or crumbs to get stuck in. And any marks from crayons usually come right off with some dish soap, which is a huge win + time saver!!

So there you have it! By far, my favorite piece of furniture in Liv's room. The Play Kit really did tie everything together so nicely. Check it out—you can save $50 when you get the kit, which I know you and you're little as much as we do. And if you're expecting and still building your registry, you can easily add The Play Kit to yours on Babylist!

xx,

Tabitha
