My Everyday Jewelry + How to Snag the Best Deals

Updated: Feb 21, 2020

If you know me, you know I pretty much live in my jewelry. I like to be able to shower, swim and sweat in it without having to worry about it tarnishing. And, for that reason I look at jewelry as an investment.. something I can pass down to my daughter one day. The majority of my jewelry is solid gold with a few everyday pieces being gold plated. With the gold plated, I just make sure to not get them wet. I love a good layered look and opt between gold and rose gold. Sharing where you can shop all my favorite jewelry pieces below.

So, I'm all about negotiating. I like to find the best deals and pretty much refuse to pay full price for anything or even shipping when it comes to shopping online. Ya feel me? Around the time I was getting married, I was looking online for everyday necklaces I could layer with one another. But, when I saw how much they cost, I was like, "Uhh nooo!". David & I had just recently purchased our wedding bands from a local jeweler in Manhattan Beach, Pasha Fine Jewelry. So, I figured why not ask them if they could recreate the pieces I wanted. Well they did and they did it better than I could've imagined.. and at a much less expensive price point.

Here's the deal.. you don't have to pay the outrageous price tag you see online for the jewelry you want. It just takes a little more work on your end, but you can get exactly what you want without breaking the bank. Before making any big jewelry purchase, I recommend doing your research online to find out exactly what styles you like and can incorporate (layer) into your everyday looks. Then find a local jeweler or go downtown to your diamond district and take your time visiting each of the shops till your comfortable with the people working there and/or built a good relationship with one of the employees. Be prepared to negotiate. Or just bring someone who can do the negotiating for you. Chances are, the jewelry shop you end up going with will have something you fall in love with and you might not even want the picture you have in your phone any longer. Oh and one last thing, once you start fine jewelry shopping it becomes an addiction. Don't say I didn't warn ya!!

My MAMA Nameplate Necklace was great. I wear it on special occasions and the necklace is strong, but usually I came across a necklace which would easily break, but not this one.
